Gubbio and Christmas are a union that has lasted since
1981, when over the Mount Ingino’s slopes was decided to “build” a Christmas tree in honor of the patron of the city Saint Ubaldo.
A Christmas tree over 650 meters high, with more than 250 green luminous points, 300 multicolored lights and
on the top a star with a surface of 1,000 m2 drawn by other 200 lights. Such an achievement certainly could not go unnoticed and in fact in 1991 the Tree of Gubbio entered the Guinness Book of World Records as “The World’s Largest Christmas Tree”.
