Spello

Spello has been known for its beauty since the time of Caesar, who renamed it ‘Splendida Colonia Julia’. Walking through its narrow streets it is possible to relive its history through a succession of monuments, buildings and ancient churches. Every year in Spello, for Corpus Domini, about 1500 meters of carpets and floral paintings of religious inspiration are created along streets and squares, making one of the most beautiful villages in Italy explode with colors.
